Phoenix Boot Camp

A Phoenix boot camp is a great place to start an exercise program. Boot camps use little or no equipment, but instead they focus on body weight exercises and calisthenics. Personal trainers run a boot camp, so before the group does their first exercise, the trainer assesses all participants. He or she identifies each person’s level of fitness, listens to goals and finds out if anyone has special needs. Then the trainer designs a program specifically for each individual. As the fitness level of each person improves, the trainer adjusts the program to reflect that improvement.

You’ll learn the right way to do each exercise at a boot camp.

The personal trainer shows each person how to do his or her exercise correctly and then watches to insure the participant does it right. Even though you might think you’re making the exact moves, unless you can see yourself move, you don’t always know. Doing an exercise improperly can minimize the benefits and even cause injury that sets you back for months.

Everyone does the same exercise but may do more repetitions or a modified form.

Each person has a challenging goal, but one that’s still within reach. While the whole group may be doing pushups, the extremely fit person may be doing finger tip pushups, while the couch potato may do a bent knee version and fewer repetitions. Even though the goals are different for each person, the difficulty to reach it isn’t.

You’ll get all the benefits of having a personal trainer, but at a discount price.

The personal trainer assesses your strengths and weakness and designs a plan specifically for you, just as he or she does for private sessions. Some camps even offer nutritional information to help those who want to lose weight, which is also part of the benefits of having a personal trainer. However, since everyone in the group shares the cost for the trainer’s time, it’s far less per capita, making it a huge bargain.

There’s plenty of motivation from both the personal trainer and the group. Each person knows how difficult it is to accomplish personal goals and you’ll often hear cheers of encouragement or applause when someone achieves a difficult goal.
You’ll make friendships that often last beyond camp. Some people find workout buddies to continue the exercise program.
You’ll learn a wide selection of exercises you can do anywhere, even at home, after the camp ends. You’ll never get bored at a boot camp because of the variety and the same holds true at home, after camp ends.
You’ll work hard, but you’ll see results faster than you would if you were working out alone.
